Intrepid Challenges

What Do People Say About The Challenge Experience?
Here's a small selection of feedback about Challenges from the hundreds of people who travel with us each year

It truly was an experience that I will never forget. This was my first time to Vietnam and I found a country of great diversity that I will certainly visit again. Everywhere we went we were received with smiling faces and hello's. The children were especially great as we hi 5-ed them or slapped hands as we rode through various towns and villages. Overall this trip had everything and I couldn't recommend Intrepid and Vietnam highly enough. Barry Michael (Vietnam cycle)

All I can say is that... I had the time of my life!!! I can't recommend this concept highly enough. Travelling with a fabulous group of people, all of us working towards a common goal and supporting each other - it was the most rewarding and fun trip I have ever experienced. Marianne Brown, Great wall Challenge participant

Truly a life changing experience - better than I could have ever imagined. The Great Wall was unbelievable. Not only did I discover qualities about myself that I never knew existed I had a lot of fun along the way. Denis Cox (Great wall trek)

The finish line, while in sight of mind for the duration of the ride, crossing it was a most memorable experience, a true watershed of emotion, with all riders embracing each other, smiling with tears in eyes and a lump in the throat. Each and every rider has a personal story to tell, a perspective of what it meant to achieve this mammoth task, to endure the heat, humidity and unrelenting need to turn the pedals to get to the finish line. Boris Struk (Vietnam cycle)

Try out a Charity Challenge and you will reap the rewards in more ways than one!!! You'll have a great sense of achievement that you helped a charity, completed a personal challenge as well as experienced a new country and made a whole new group of friends. The highlights of the trip for me were the amazing feeling when you complete a challenge as a group and seeing all these strangers come together and bond as well as we all did. Marcus Stapleton (Nepal trek)

The trip was absolutely awesome and exhausting. China is an extraordinary country with amazing people. The Great Wall is the most incredible thing I’ve ever seen. I highly recommend the Charity Challenge to anybody who wants to push themselves to their limits, while enjoying laughs and camaraderie with their fellow Challengers. It totally exceeded my expectations, I definitely would do a GDV Challenge again. Elke Hupfauf

What a way to see the world!!Meet great people, have fabulous fun! Challenge yourself to raise the money and then challenge yourself to do the trip! Once you do one, you can't wait for the next. I am on to my fourth challenge trip and would never have the opportunity to do it with out these wonderful challenge offers! It’s not hard, try it! Jill Pinner, Mongolia

"An experience that has left a very unique imprint on me, what I saw, what I achieved and what I experienced throughout the journey will remain with me forever." Nicole Richardson, Mongolia

I am overwhelmed by the many experiences of the last two weeks in an amazing country made more brilliant by experiencing with 19 others. This really was a trip of a lifetime and I have enjoyed every moment of it. The interaction between us all was incredible – everyone’s openness, honesty, humour, dedication, determination, unselfishness, excitement and ability to listen helped us get the most out of this adventure. It will be sad to say good bye but I feel that many friendships will continue on. Angela Gregory, Vietnam Ride

This trip has been amazing. Personally I have got more out of this than I ever imagined. One of the things that made this trip so special was the people – our team. To think that a group of strangers came together by riding through Vietnam, spending time together sharing parts of our lives, supporting and encouraging each other – we formed one amazing bond. Simone Van Tonder, Vietnam ride

What a way to go. I love a physical challenge, but often can't manage a trek on my own, or can't find people to do it with. Charity challenges are personally fulfilling in so many ways - raising money for a good cause, a great fitness challenge, and travelling with like-minded good hearted people. Highly recommended! Usually when I travel, it's difficult to feel as though you are doing anything other than just look at other people living their lives... this was the chance to actually live it with them. Almost every day of my trip was exciting. The entire experience was fascinating and exciting and sometimes sad and often hilariously fun. Michael McKee, Sri Lanka build

The build! Working together as a team with the local families was one of the best experiences of my life. The welcome we received was amazing and everything we did seemed to be appreciated. Getting to know the people we built with and joining in their lives was far more memorable than an ordinary holiday. It felt like we all gained something valuable from the experience. I cannot recommend this trip highly enough. It was 'fantastic’. Jennifer Caulfield, Sri Lanka build
